‘The truest of heroes’
Emirati social media star Khalid Al Ameri and his wife Salama Mohamed have issued a heartfelt message to those on the frontline battling the coronavirus pandemic.
Echoing the #ThankYouHeroes campaign HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, launched last week, the couple expressed their deep thanks to the “incredible medical staff” working day and night to treat those who have contracted COVID-19.
“The launch of this campaign is to give our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the incredible medical staff of the United Arab Emirates,” Al Ameri said in a video posted to his Instagram page, alongside his wife and their two sons.
“To the nurses, doctors, hospital administration working non-stop to ensure we’re healthy and safe,” Salama said.
“To the medical staff who go to work so we can stay at home,” Al Ameri added. “Showing us that in the hardest of times they are the truest of heroes.”
Salama finished the heartfelt message saying, “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you heroes.”
