The royal celebrated his brother’s birthday by digging through the family photo albums.
Thanks to social media, it’s easy to keep up with the day-to-day dealings of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Crown Prince of Dubai regularly keeps his 5.9 million Instagram followers up-to-date with his life, whether he’s travelling Europe, cave-diving or mingling with British royals.

However Sheikh Hamdan grew up in a time before social media, meaning we have to rely on a few infrequent snapshots for a peek into his childhood—and we just got one of the best yet.
The royal dug through the family archives for a photo to mark his younger brother Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s birthday, and we adore the one he chose.
The siblings are pictured in front of what looks like a model of a boat, some miniature flamingos, and a fence, with sweet little smiles on their faces.
Sheikh Maktoum, who turned 34 on November 24, is currently the deputy ruler of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated.
He often shares touching family portraits too, usually pictured side by side with his father, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan also shared another heartwarming image over the weekend, as he posed with one of his best pals, little Maj.
Maj, the son of Sheikh Hamdan’s long-time friend Ahmed Jaber Al Harbi, has charmed the world ever since he surprised British monarch Queen Elizabeth II with a super-cute handshake back in 2015.
Sheikh Hamdan is his “best friend”, according to Maj’s Instagram page (which is run by his parents and has more than 500,000 followers).
