Dubai’s royal family were dressed to impress at the world-famous races.

The Al Maktoum family has shown the world how Royal Ascot is done, taking home trophies and hobnobbing with British royals at the premier racing event.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, was in England supporting his Godolphin team – and celebrated a treble on the first day of the race.

He was joined by HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, who accepted a cup on behalf of the team presented by Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The royals no doubt had some catching up to do following Prince Charles and Camilla’s tour of the UAE in November – the heir apparent’s eighth visit to the nation.

HRH Princess Haya was also in attendance, looking lovely in lace – which was also the fabric of choice for Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

But the unexpected style star was Sheikha Al Jalila, Sheikh Mohammed and Princess Haya’s daughter.

The nine-year-old looked super-sophisticated in a polka-dotted, sailor-inspired dress and matching fascinator.

Al Jalila seemed engrossed in the racing action, enjoying a sweet celebratory hug from her father at one point during the day.

Like mother, like daughter…

Here are some more royal snaps from the tracks…
