As a city welcoming of all nationalities with endless opportunities, Dubai really is an incredible place to be. Not only that, but it’s also an extraordinarily safe place to live in.

This has been exemplified in a recent Instagram post by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, as he reshared a resident’s “only in Dubai” moment.

Dubai resident Claudine Foong shared an Instagram story detailing that she’d left her stroller in a car park overnight. The next morning, she found it in the exact same spot with everything still there, showcasing just how safe Dubai is.

Dubai’s Crown Prince got wind of the post and decided to reshare it with his 12 million followers with his own message.

“Thank you Claudine, a true story that we can all relate to in Dubai,” he said. “But next time, no strollers left behind please.”

Sheikh Hamdan safety Dubai

Just last week a new report found the UAE is the safest place to walk alone.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared his pride over this declaration.

Per Gallup’s 2021 Global Law and Order report, 95 per cent of the country’s residents feel safe, especially when walking alone at night, allowing them to top the charts in this category.

Sharing his delight on social media His Highness noted how safe the UAE was for women and how they can walk home, be it day or night, “without fear”.

“According to the Gallup Report for Security and Order 2021, the UAE is the first in the world, for the number of residents who feel safe walking alone at night,” he said.

“Security is a blessing and safety is tranquillity. If a woman wanders alone at any hour of the day or night without fear, she knows that she is in the Emirates.”
