His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, is continually keeping us in the loop on where the best places to dine at in the emirate.

The latest hotspot the Crown Prince of Dubai has put on our radars is a quaint Greek restaurant located in Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

Sheikh Hamdan paid a visit to Taverna Greek Kitchen earlier this week where he dined with a group of friends.

The restaurant is located on the waterfront of Souk Madinat Jumeirah and embodies the true rustic charm of Greece with exposed wood, white walls and neutral tones used throughout the venue. Patrons can also dine alfresco on the terrace overlooking the water.

Meanwhile, the menu embodies authentic Grecian cuisine with hero dishes on the menu including melitzanosalta, roasted and smoked eggplant purée with peppers and herbs; atherina crispy whitebait, fresh whitebait lightly coated with seasoned flour and fried served with citrus mayo and lemon; and lamb souvlaki skewers, served with homemade woodfired pita bread, Greek fries and tzatziki.

This year, Sheikh Hamdan has visited a number of our favourite hotspots including the MAINE Land Brasserie in Business Bay, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro in Jumeirah Al Naseem and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in DIFC.

Most recently, Sheikh Hamdan visited Caviar Kaspia Dubai, a new fine-dining spot in DIFC and the first expansion for the Parisian hotspot outside of the French capital.

We’ll be waiting in the wings to see which restaurant Fazza puts on our radars next.
