The new Apple Store takes the concept of ‘window shopping’ to a whole new level…

Even if you wouldn’t consider yourself a tech geek, you have to admit, there’s something very relaxing about visiting an Apple Store. All those shiny phones. The stylish, minimalist aesthetic. The free wi-fi.

The tech giant revealed the location of its third UAE branch in The Dubai Mall earlier this month, and it will finally open its doors to the public tomorrow.

Apple has offered a sneak peek of the brand new store just ahead of its opening – and we can already tell it’s going to be one of our new favourite hangout spots.

The stunning space, which takes up two levels of the mall, boasts a 186-foot curved storefront and balcony overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.

The balcony features 18 automated glass panels that will help cool the store during the day, and will open in the evening to let customers out onto the public terrace – just in time for the fountain shows.

“We view our stores as a modern-day town square, where visitors come to shop, be inspired, learn or connect with others in their community,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of retail.

“And what better place to come together than overlooking Dubai’s epicentre, where the Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall meet. We are so honoured to have a home at one of the world’s most incredible and dynamic intersections.”

Apple has also announced a new in-store concept called “Today at Apple”, which will launch next month. Every Apple Store will hold cool tutorials across photo, video, music, coding, art and design, led by trained team members.

The Dubai Mall store will also host high-profile events, such as live performances, conversations with filmmakers and photographers, and workshops.

Shopping with a side of education? This is definitely something we can get behind.
