It’s designed by the architects behind Dubai Design District.

Well, this looks like it’s going to be gorgeous.

Currently under construction and set to open in mid-2019, the Jameel Arts Centre aims to encourage everyday people to engage with art.

If you’ve been to Alserkal Avenue of late, you might have spotted Art Jameel’s Saudi Seen photography exhibition. It runs until from 5-7pm until February 13 and showcases work from the kingdom’s vibrant community of young photographers.

By the way, yes, this is the same Jameel family as Rihanna’s Saudi beau Hassan Jameel. The family started Art Jameel in 2003 and it’s supported arts and culture in the Middle East ever since.

The family are worth US$1.5 billion (Dhs5.5 billion) according to Forbes, making them the 12th wealthiest in the region.
