It’s welcomed royals, Hollywood stars, and world leaders.

It’s got outposts in London, Rome, Beverly Hills and Paris… and now The Dorchester will add Dubai to its ranks.

A five-star Dorchester Collection hotel will open on the banks of Dubai Canal, surrounded by luxury residences also managed by the iconic high-end brand.

Aside from the Marasi Business Bay opening, Omniyat and Dorchester Collection will be working together on more projects in the region, the two added.

The most famous of the hotel’s brands, London’s The Dorchester, is one of the British capital’s most famous establishments, renowned for its lavish afternoon teas and celebrity guests.

Among the stars who’ve bedded down for the night at the Park Lane address are Winston Churchill, Elizabeth Taylor and Oprah Winfrey, as well as members of Britain’s royal family.

Dorchester Collection also owns and operates several other luxury properties around the world, including Le Meurice and Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, Hotel Eden in Rome and The Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.

“This is our first hotel and residence complex in the Middle East and we look forward to bringing our distinct style of hospitality to this region,” said Christopher Cowdray, CEO of Dorchester Collection.
