We can almost feel our stresses melting away thanks to a five-star massage…
Sometimes, when we’re feeling like we need a little mental vacation from our day job, we scroll through the Instagram feed of Six Senses Zighy Bay.
The luxury hotel, nestled in Oman’s Musandam peninsula, is set amongst dramatic mountains and deep blue seas, with hilltop restaurants, plush rooms, and a sprawling haven of a spa.
However, we won’t have to dream much longer, as we’re getting a taste of the five-star resort right here in Dubai.
A Six Senses Spa will be opening in the city’s Renaissance Downtown, an upscale hotel in walking distance of the Burj Khalifa that launched earlier this month.
The best news? We won’t even have to wait that long for a five-star pamper, with the spa set to open on the hotel’s fifth floor in early February 2018.
The relaxing sanctuary, which is Six Senses’ first venture in Dubai (though there’s already one in Abu Dhabi Airport), will feature six treatment suites dedicated to different senses—sight, sound, touch, taste, smell and intuition.
Each room will offer a different experience tailored to its sense, such as the Sound Suite, which will house a lounger that pulses with healing sound vibrations to ease muscle pain and improve circulation.
The Sight Suite features a sauna with digital image projections and various light-based treatments that help regulate the body’s natural melatonin as well as boost energy and focus.
The Touch Suite houses a flotation pod to reduce stress, the Smell Suite uses therapeutic herbs, spices and essential oils in treatments such as body scrubs and wraps, while the Beyond Suite will put you through your paces with yoga, stretching and breathing techniques, as well as singing bowl meditation.
Last (but definitely not least), the Taste Suite will offer a variety of hammam therapies using ingredients of your choosing.
There will also be a nail salon in the sensory-based spa, as well as stunning views of Downtown Dubai, yoga classes and wellness screenings.
According to the website, you’ll also be able to book some high-end treatments such as a 24-karat gold or green caviar facial. There’s no price list online yet, but we’ll keep you updated.
Regardless, we’re lying on that massage table in our minds already…
