With 16 days to go until the official launch of Expo 2020 Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is ensuring everything is ready and raring to go.

Having toured the site on foot just last week, on Sunday His Highness opted for a different mode of transport to view the final preparations for Expo 2020.

A video was shared by Dubai Media Office showcasing Sheikh Mohammed dressed in all-black with a helmet on, touring the mega-event site on a bicycle. The footage highlighted the “global anticipation” for the upcoming Expo.

The official first date of Expo 2020 will be October 1, 2021. The event was delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Set to last six months until March 31, 2021, Expo 2020 will be a history-making event for the UAE as affirmed by Sheikh Mohammed.

“We promise people from all over the world an unprecedented Expo,” he said. “The 6 months of the event will go down in history for the ideas and inventions that will benefit humanity for years to come.”

With over 200 pavilions, 190 of which will represent different countries from around the globe, it’s set to be nothing short of spectacular.
