The Bollywood star flew into Cannes just days after her Mumbai nuptials.
It’s her first big event since becoming Mrs Ahuja, and Sonam Kapoor definitely still had that newlywed sparkle about her when she appeared at the Cannes Film Festival.
The Veere Di Wedding star attended the screening of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman on Monday in the French Riviera, wearing a custom couture creation positively oozing wow factor.

The crystal-encrusted two-piece, reminiscent of a traditional lehenga, was crafted by Ralph & Russo, the London-based fashion house that has dressed everyone from Meghan Markle and Angelina Jolie to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The design consisted of a cropped top with a two-metre train and a full ball skirt, crafted in champagne tulle with floral silk threadwork, beadings and pale gold bullion, the couture label revealed.
Taking to Instagram, Kapoor said the dress “felt like it was made of starlight”, adding that her earrings were Chopard and her makeup was by L’Oreal.
The Bollywood actress also shared a peek at the rest of her Cannes wardrobe, such as this Delpozo printed dress she wore to an auction dinner, finished off with Charlotte Olympia heels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
For her arrival into the coastal resort town, Kapoor went ultra-elegant in a polka-dot midi from Mother of Pearl, accessorised with Chloe boots, a Bottega Veneta bag, and Victoria Beckham sunnies.
The star flew in to the festival from Mumbai, where she tied the knot with her businessman beau, Anand Ahuja, on May 8.
The new bride shared several shots from the big day recently, thanking “everyone who made our wedding the most magical two days of our lives”.
“We would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who made this day special,” she continued, going on to thank her wedding planner, photographers, glam squad, and designers.
