Actress, activist, and long-term fitness inspiration Jane Fonda is the latest star to wear Lebanese designer Elie Saab on the red carpet. The short answer is that she looked amazing – and that age isn’t a factor when it comes to style.
In an ankle-length black sequined gown with shoulder cut-outs and a lace hem, Fonda was a highlight of the red carpet. It’s far from the first time she’s opted for the Beirut designer – back in March she opted for a sea foam jumpsuit, and in 2013, she and Angelina Jolie wore the same Saab gown in quick succession.

You won’t hear any complaints from us. We love it when a star knows what suits them, and Fonda always looks gorgeous in Elie Saab designs.
The Hollywood royal was attending the LACMA Art + Film awards in Los Angeles, which is sometimes called the Met Gala of the west coast. This year the event was sponsored by Gucci and honoured Star Wars director George Lucas and artist Mark Bradford.
While many guests opted for Alessandro Michele designs, since his house was hosting, Fonda wasn’t alone in opting for another brand. Kim Kardashian looked incredible in a daring Tom Ford suit.
Another highlight? Dakota Johnson in a deep V-neck Gucci gown with long sleeves.
You won’t be at all surprised to hear that Middle Eastern designers have been having a great week. Zuhair Murad (another Fonda favourite) is basically running out of celebrities to dress at this stage, his latest collection is so good, and Kate Winslet looked beautiful in an Elie Saab jumpsuit at the Hollywood Film Awards on November 5.
Maybe we’re biased (we’re probably biased) but between Saab and Murad, we feel like the red carpet is just about covered.
