Who runs the world? Girls.

This Tuesday marks Emirati Women’s Day, and to celebrate there will be a special Flow Talk Series held in Dubai with some seriously inspiring women.

The free-to-attend event on 28th August will see a panel of four women discuss their trials, triumphs along with tips to succeeding in a male-dominated workplace. The event will be mediated by Amna Al Haddad, UAE champion weightlifter and inspirational speaker.

Women on the panel include:

Amnah Al Bahar

Amnah was awarded the title of “Fittest Emirati 2017” and was one of only two Emirati CrossFit athletes to compete at the 2018 CrossFit Games in Madrid.

Sara Al Madani

The youngest member of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sara runs two companies including her fashion label, Rouge Couture and Emirati fusion restaurant Shabarbush. She has also appeared on panel talks hosted by the UN.

Nouf Al Afifi  

One of the first and only Emirati air-traffic controllers, Nouf will discuss what it’s like to work in a male-dominated field, and how she smashed boundaries to achieve her career successes.

Aisha Alkhaja

Founder and creative director of family and children’s brand Little Wren. The Emirati entrepreneur launched her business after witnessing a gap in the market for a family focused e-commerce brand.
