The airline will collect your bags and check you in at home.

True luxury is about convenience, if you ask us, so we’re very interested in this new service from Emirates.

Back in November, we brought you news that the airline was trialling at-home check-in and bag collection, and now we’re thrilled to report that they’ve rolled it out.

The service is available for passengers departing Dubai on any class of ticket, so long as your pickup point is also in the city.

If you’re keen, Emirates will send a specially equipped bag to your home or hotel between 48 and seven hours ahead of your flight.

Bags will be checked, weighed and sealed on the spot, and you’ll be issued your boarding pass as well.

You know what that means: a breezy, unencumbered trip through Terminal 3 with nothing but your carry-on and passport to keep an eye on.

(Plus any duty free makeup you pick on on your way through. It happens.)

The service costs Dhs350 for up to seven pieces of luggage, with an additional Dhs35 for each piece on top of that. You’ll also be charged for any oversize or overweight bags.

Basically, this is a way to bring a little bit of business class to your standard flight experience.

Sure, this might not be necessary for a weekend trip, but if you’re heading overseas for a decent length of time, why not start your trip off right?

And while we think of it, here are some ideas for where you might jet off to.
