Think feathers, frills and the French Riviera.
And just like that, it’s done. While a little of the attention we’d usually pay to the Cannes Film Festival was taken up by a couple of major weddings (we’re talking about you, Sonam Kapoor and Meghan Markle) there were still some major red carpet moments.
We’ve talked about Aishwarya Rai in Michael Cinco and Helen Mirren in Elie Saab, and now that the 71st iteration of Cannes has come to an end, we’ve got a few more delights to bring to your attention.

Middle Eastern designers ruled the Cannes red carpet
Join us for a look at the best Middle East designed looks of the last few days of Cannes.
Elie Saab
We love the structured bodice of this dramatic Elie Saab on model Winnie Harlow. Expect to see more of her before we end this round-up…
Bold colour was clearly the Saab signature for Cannes—how good is this electric blue on Portuguese model Sara Sampaio? Very ’70s, very striking.
And then, a two for one. Saab dressed Lebanese director Nadine Labaki for both the premiere of her film Capernaum, as seen above…
And then for the closing ceremony as she accepted her Jury Prize award. It’s safe to say Labaki looked incredible both times.
Zuhair Murad
You really can’t go past the frothy romance of this pale pink number. Carin Olsson was attending the amfAR Gala.
Which is also where Harlow was photographed in this bold, graphic Murad number. We love.
Long-time amfAR supporter Heidi Klum also opted for Murad, in this embellished column gown with an outer skirt. Gorgeous.
Ashi Studio
This feathered gown on model Neelam Gill is what we hope for from a Cannes red carpet. Somewhat over the top, and so good.
Austrian model Nadine Leopold also opted for the Beirut-based fashion house. This dark army green is lovely with her colouring, and the pleats are fantastic.
Brazilian style icon Christina Pitanguy wore this dramatic caped number from Ashi Studio.
Michael Cinco
Model Rose Bertram went for a strapless icy-blue gown from Filipino designer Michael Cinco, who’s based in Dubai.
Nicholas Jebran
And to finish, here’s American pop culture phenom Paris Hilton in Lebanese label Nicholas Jebran. Outstanding.
