Subtle mix
When two iconic brands come together, the possibilities are endless. But while some might feel the need to get carried away, Prada decided on a minimal approach for it’s collaboration with Adidas.

Earlier this month, the Italian house teased their upcoming partnership with the celebrated sports brand and we couldn’t wait to see how the two extremely recognisable names will work together.
They have created a minimal all-white, clean-looking take on the iconic Superstar sneaker – a tribute to the shoe’s original design that dates back to 1969. A shoe that has been worn generation, after generation and a style that the brand clearly wanted to celebrate, rather than overhaul.
“A partnership about manufacturing, a salute to the 50 years of the Superstar, an impeccable style icon—which does not require being re-designed—having crossed boundaries and challenged definitions through five decades,” reads the press release.

To go hand in hand with the release, the collaboration also includes a bag. Following the same design aesthetic as the shoe, the bag is a hybrid between the Prada bowling bag and an Adidas gym bag. The items will be sold together as a set.
“This pair of styles—each with a fundamental duality at their core—has been evolved from their sports and subcultural roots into modern luxury,” the press release continues.
The limited edition collection will carry only 700 pieces and will be available from December 4 at select Prada boutiques, as well as prada.com and adidas.com.
