HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has ranked among the top 10 most followed world leaders on Instagram, according to a global report.
He wasn’t the only Middle Eastern Royal on the list either, Queen Rania also made the top ten most followed accounts.
The Jordanian Royal ranked fifth, while the Ruler of Dubai took the ninth place.

With 5 million followers on Instagram, Queen Rania holds the fifth position, up 27 percent since last year. On the other hand, HH Sheikh Mohammed ‘s followers increased by 23 per cent compared to the previous year with 3.6 million followers.

The report was carried out by Twitplomacy, which looks at the use of social networks by world leaders to conduct diplomatic outreach, engage with the public, disperse information and even leverage global influence.
