In the dynamic skincare landscape, Valmont emerges as a game changer. More than just buzzwords, this pioneering luxury skincare brand is rooted in meticulous research and expertise based on unique science that sets unparalleled standards for beauty regimens in UAE and beyond.

Here, CEO and the visionary behind Valmont, Sophie Vann Guillon, deep dives into the brand’s DNA, groundbreaking formulas and the potential future of skincare.

The brand counts over 100 skincare treatments to date. What goes into the creation of each product, and which is your most advanced to date?

Each creation comes from my intuition, in phase with my knowledge of the needs of women and men. I sense before the user what she needs and what will give her pleasure. Each time, I look for the unique alchemy, the perfect balance between the power of natural Swiss ingredients, with their exceptional virtues, and the power of science to enhance these benefits. I follow the latest scientific innovations in the field of cellular cosmetics to offer the very best in effectiveness, but also in customer experience. Sensorially and visible, long-lasting results are the key. Each ritual has its own cutting-edge specificity, linked to the skin disorders we are seeking to rebalance.

In 2024, new groundbreaking innovations will be introduced, such as a protective SPF treatment with a light, invisible, non-greasy texture, a real feat of formulation.

“It’s important to reinvent ourselves every day, while remaining true to our DNA.”

The company has been innovating in beauty for over 30 years. How do you leverage tech development?

Tech development is essential if we are to remain contemporary. It’s important to reinvent ourselves every day, while remaining true to our DNA. Even our most established collections are revisited using technology to take the experience of our products even further. It feeds our thinking, stimulates our creativity and enhances our results.

Valmont is at the forefront of cutting-edge research and advanced Alpine-sourced ingredients. How do you merge technology and nature seamlessly?

It’s all a question of hybridization and alchemy. I love nature – it inspires me, it carries me. I’m curious by nature and I like to look for synergies and links where there are none at first sight. I like marrying opposites, balancing contrasts, playing with materials to find the perfect alchemy between science and nature to create skincare products that don’t exist elsewhere. Always with the motto of cellular cosmetics, which is to provide biocompatible ingredients for perfect affinity with the skin, and therefore greater effectiveness.

Are there any ingredients we won’t see in Valmont formulas and if not, why so?

I don’t put barriers in my creative process, my objective is always the result, with respect for the skin and the environment. That’s why I sometimes use ingredients from the animal kingdom, through processes that are obviously respectful, and whose affinity with the skin is exceptional.

What benefits do you experience with skincare backed by Swiss cellular science?

Cellular cosmetics have been part of our medical heritage from the Clinique Valmont, and today it is our scientific signature. Cellular cosmetics are inspired by cellulotherapy, and it uses bio-mimetic active molecules that guarantee exceptional bio-affinity and bioavailability. This means, they are perfectly assimilated by the skin to reproduce or compensate for the natural biological phenomena we are targeting, to achieve exceptional efficacy. Supported by our duo of iconic molecular ingredients: salmon DNA and RNA. This bio-mimetic expertise is a real difference on the market. Having a “Swiss made” guarantee puts you at the cutting edge of innovation, quality, precision, research and a guarantee of excellence recognised the world over.

Valmont belongs to the family of cellular cosmetics, as it features cell extracts (DNA extracted from the milt of wild salmon by means of a complex process) and RNA, extracted from yeast. What makes the products different from others is their bio-mimetics with the skin. The way they merge into the skin to reproduce or compensate for biological phenomena.

Is there a big difference in the skin of women in Switzerland and Middle East? If so, how do you see this affect the buying patterns within the region?

Yes, definitely, the prototype is not the same. In Europe, it’s the phototypes I and II, whereas in the Middle East it’s more like IV and V. This, in no way affects purchases, as we offer a wide range of products for all these skin differences.

What is your must-have product?

The Prime Renewing Pack (PRP): iconic and polyvalent. Its radiance and anti-fatigue results are so amazing that its community has named it the Happy Mask. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year with a superb, limited edition and lots of surprises.
