In a significant diplomatic move, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE arrived in India for a working visit, emphasizing the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations.

The visit commenced with the President’s participation in the three-day Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, an international business event designed to attract investments and promote the state of Gujarat.

This biennial summit, initiated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2003 during his tenure as the state’s chief minister, has evolved into a platform for fostering global business relations.

President Sheikh Mohamed’s presence at the event not only underscores the UAE’s commitment to economic collaboration but also highlights the mutual efforts to enhance ties between the two countries.

The visit kicked off with a grand parade, jointly led by President Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Modi, covering a distance of 3km from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Gandhinagar city. The visual spectacle symbolized the unity and shared objectives between the UAE and India, setting the stage for the upcoming discussions and agreements.

The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit provided a platform for both leaders to engage in crucial discussions aimed at further solidifying the strategic partnership. The talks revolved around exploring avenues for collaboration that would not only support economic growth but also contribute to sustainable development for the benefit of their respective populations.

One of the highlights of the visit was the signing of agreements between the UAE and India, fostering investment cooperation across multiple sectors. These agreements are poised to strengthen the economic ties between the two nations, creating opportunities for growth and development on both sides.

Reflecting on the productive discussions, President Sheikh Mohamed emphasized, “Today I met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra modi in Ahmedabad to further cement the strong ties that unite our two nations. The partnership between India and the UAE continues to flourish, and our talks today explored ways to boost collaboration that will support economic growth and sustainable development for the benefit of our people.”
