Make the most of your downtime by tuning into something worthwhile, like the work of Lebanese actor and filmmaker Nadine Labaki.

Her films have gained high acclaim across the globe, and now you have a chance to enjoy two of her newest creations on Netflix. Made with her husband, music composer Khaled Mouzanara, the short films are called Caramel and Capernaum and they are part of Netflix’s new concept ‘Homemade’.

Available now, the streaming giant wanted to celebrate 18 innovative creatives and reflect on self-isolation during the pandemic.

Each filmmaker faced challenges including limited equipment, no crew and no budget, but the results are exceptionally creative, moving, joyful and heartfelt. Just shows that a strong visionary doesn’t need all the bells and whistles to make something that has an impact.

‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart, Sebastian Schipperand David Mackenzie are just some of the names on board and we can’t wait to binge on all of them this weekend.
