You’ll need to cover up those bikinis if you’re heading to these spots…

Two new women- and family-only beaches in Dubai have launched with a modest dress code.

Beachgoers are asked to cover up their bikinis and swimsuits with dresses, or shorts and tops, according to The National.

The two beaches, found either side of the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club in Jumeirah, have been declared for females and families only by Dubai Municipality, and the newspaper reports that visitors have been asked to adhere to the dress code by staff.

The National reports this is the first public beach in the emirate to have such a dress code.

Typically, Dubai beaches have signs asking visitors to refrain from wearing swimwear when off the sand – such as on the pathways and shopfronts surrounding JBR’s The Beach.

Topless bathing is prohibited, and the skimpiest of bikinis are best avoided – the more respectful the swimwear, the better.

For the new Jumeirah beaches, opaque midi dresses make great cover-ups, along with breezy shirts and shorts, that will also keep you cool in the heat.
