Whether you consider yourself an art expert or simply just someone who can appreciate a great piece of work, it has never been a more exciting time to be part of the Dubai art scene. Street Night Art, launching on January 24, 2014 is set to be a Dubai first where art and culture enthusiasts will be able to showcase and sell their pieces.

Street Night Art will be held in the region’s cultural hub of Al Quoz, and is set to be the biggest outdoor gallery the UAE has ever seen, stretching from 4B near Time Square all the way through to 15th Street. Traffic will be diverted from 6pm to 12am in order to allow visitors to stroll up and down, taking in the performances by local and international artists, as well as choosing exactly what pieces they will be battling to get their hands on at the closing auction at the end of the event.

Expecting over 3,000 people to walk the art-lined streets, the 50 or so artists will be offering an experience that is unique to Dubai. The relaxed environment will allow the public to interact and encounter the artists in a way they otherwise wouldn’t, while the artists can benefit by getting direct feedback from the public while simultaneously promoting their pieces. Multidisciplinary performances will not only include the likes of live painting, but visitors can also expect to witness break-dance competitions, beat boxing, open-mic sessions and drum performances, ready to get everyone involved.1.Street-Night-Art

Street Art Night is presented by Arabtec Holding and is an official event held in conjunction with Dubai Shopping Festival, managed by Dubai Festival & Retail Establishment and is supported by Middles East Film & Comic Con, The Fridge and GYEM.

So, we guess we’ll see you all tomorrow then.
