Because who said a 67-year-old can’t front a magazine?

The March issue of Emirates Woman might be our third magazine of 2018—but in many ways it’s a first.

Not only is it our first-ever avant-garde issue, it’s also the first time we’ve put a woman in her sixties on the front cover.

Artist, visionary, style icon and all-round superstar Patricia Millns is one of the leading pioneers of the modern art movement in the region, and a woman who only wears Issey Miyake—which makes her a perfect fit for the issue’s theme.

British-born Millns, who has lived in the Middle East for more than three decades, is an artist renowned for her experimental and innovative approach (in both her work and personal style).

“Patricia Millns is one of the most inspiring and interesting women I’ve ever met and someone who is symbolic of the meaning of avant-garde,” says Emirates Woman‘s editor Carmel Gill.

Accompanied by an extraordinary shoot, Millns opens up in the March issue about her inspirations, art in the region, and her most beloved designers. march cover patricia

The issue, which hits shelves this week, also features an in-depth guide to next month’s Art Dubai, insight into the region’s creatives making a global name for themselves, and a 17-page handbook to all the new season trends.
