Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum‘s fine jewellery brand is set to host its very first pop-up event in Dubai in collaboration with Christie’s.

Having first launched in August 2020, it’s the first time Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery will be available for public viewing.

Her Highness’ debut collection ‘My Treasure’ – which is an ode to her late grandmother, the elder Sheikha Sana – will be exhibited in Christie’s Gallery in DIFC from May 5 to May 12, 2021.

The debut collection designed by Sheikha Sana features 13 pieces, including The Treasure Necklace, The Enchanting Necklace, The Fantasy Ring, The Dream Bracelet, The Soulmate Ring, The Mesmerize Necklace, The Imagine Ring, The Reminisce Bangle, The Butterfly Garden Bangle, The Believe Stud Earrings, The Muse Earrings and more.

All of the pieces incorporate pavé-set diamonds alongside pink, yellow or blue sapphires in yellow, white or rose gold encasings, all featuring butterflies. Some pieces – The Treasure Necklace and The Enchanting Necklace – have completely unique attributes, namely the ‘en tremblant’ technique, something Her Highness has mastered in her designs.

Having been an avid jewellery lover since she was young, Her Highness – who is the cover star for Emirates Woman‘s prestigious April issue ‘The Gratitude Issue’ – explains, “Purchasing a piece of jewellery is mostly associated with a special occasion or moment in one’s lives.”

“Jewellery is always a gift now and a family heirloom later, which makes it timeless and carries with it a sense of sentimentality,” she adds. “The spiritual properties of the stones also add to its appeal, making the perfect present to celebrate a milestone in one’s life and a true collector’s item.”

Not only is each piece by Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery designed exquisitely, but the essence of Her Highness’ namesake brand is also all about honesty.

“As a modern brand I wanted to ensure that certain values rang true in my jewellery so I focused not only on the design but also on the source of my jewels, ensuring all the jewels I use are conflict-free by utilising only Kimberly Process-Certified jewellery in my pieces,” Sheikha Sana previously told Emirates Woman. “Being ethical in business is extremely important to me.”

The KPCS process was established by the United Nations in 2000 as an effort to stop the trade of conflict diamonds. Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery also ensures that every diamond that goes into our pieces is of top quality (VVS-VS), meaning the diamond clarity is extremely high.
