The Dubai ruler took control of the tongs while celebrating with his family.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum celebrated his 69th birthday this week, and by the looks of it, he was put in charge of his own birthday feast.
The vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai was snapped behind the barbecue in a particularly lush looking location, cooking up some tasty cuts of meat.
The photo was shared to Instagram by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, with the caption: “When you are relaxed, life takes on a different flavour.”
Sheikh Hamdan later shared a bonus snap to his Instagram Stories, showing the Dubai ruler tending to a large pot of stew.

Where in the world are the royals? While Sheikh Hamdan initially did not reveal exactly where his father’s culinary adventures took place, he later shared a photo of himself in the Faroe Islands, located between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The destination is perfect for nature lovers like Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan, with its stunning waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and grassy valleys. In fact, the Visit Faroe Islands website describes it as “Europe’s best kept secret”.
