While the entire world was turned upside down in March 2020 with the outbreak of coronavirus and a global pandemic was announced by the World Health Organisation, the UAE has come out the other side of it.

This was declared by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai in a post on social media.

His Highness announced that the “worst has passed” for the UAE’s battle against COVID-19.

“I chaired a Cabinet meeting during which we were briefed on the latest developments in procedures to support the medical sector during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.“The worst has passed and the UAE worked as one team during the pandemic.”

Sheikh Mohammed also praised the UAE for being one of the best countries in the world in dealing with the pandemic.

Life has slowly but surely been turning to a resemblance of normality as of late, as vaccination rates across the country continue to rise and recovery cases also continue to increase.

At present, 18 million doses of the available COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to residents across the UAE.
