Two of the world’s most popular princes came together on Thursday in Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, met with Prince William at Expo 2020 where he showed the British royal around the site, focussing on the UK Pavilion.

Following their afternoon together, Sheikh Hamdan shared a series of photos on Instagram of the royal pair together, adding a message of positivity about the Duke of Cambridge’s Dubai trip.

Dubai’s Crown Prince revealed he talked with the British prince about the “great promise” of the future of relations between the UAE and the UK.

“With Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge at Expo, where the world meets,” Fazza captioned the photos. “The UAE and the United Kingdom have strong historical ties, today we discuss the future and the great promise it holds.”

The ties between the two countries date back four decades when Queen Elizabeth II became the first British royal to visit the UAE, eight years after the seven emirates joined together.

The Queen and Prince Philip visited the UAE in 1979 where they met with the late Sheikh Zayed, father of the nation, and the British monarch also opened Jebel Ali Port, a place where Prince William toured on his first visit to the UAE.

We’re sure this is the start of many more British royal visits to the UAE.
