Another win for the Egyptian footballer

HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai presented Egypt’s Mohamed Salah with the Outstanding Arab Athlete award. The award was handed out during a presentation ceremony for the 10th edition of the Mohammed Bin Rashid (MBR) Creative Sports Award on Wednesday in Dubai.

This is the second award that Mohamed receives this week. On Tuesday, he was voted as the ‘African Footballer of the Year’ for the second successive year by the the Confederation of African Football.

The Crown Prince of Dubai shared pictures from the event on his LinkedIn, which he captioned, “Today, we honoured a host of exceptional local, regional and international sports figures as part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award. We wish them continued success.”

After receiving the award from Sheikh Hamdan, the Liverpool star took to the stage to thank HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for launching the award. “An award that holds the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is great and huge one, because its value comes from Sheikh Mohammed’s great position as the pioneer innovator in all fields.”

“And thank you for this appreciation and honor which means a lot to me as it comes from the UAE the country, that is close to our hearts. May God help you to achieve the goals of this award and support our athletes and youth,” added the 26-year-old striker.

After the award ceremony, Dubai’s Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed, welcomed the winners to his Zabeel Palace.
