As we are all in celebration mode to mark 50 years of the UAE this weekend, the Crown Prince of Dubai has just given us all the inspiration we need for where to dine out over the four-day break.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a regular food connoisseur on the Dubai dining scene and recently made a visit to one of his favourite hotspots, Gaia.

The brainchild of Chef Izu Ani, located in DIFC, showcase the core elements of Grecian culture and encompasses the Greek Goddess of Earth, the mother of the sun, the mountains and the sea in its extensive menu.

GAIA

Dubai’s Crown Prince visited the culinary hotspot just ahead of the long weekend and was seen photographed with the restaurant’s concept creator himself, Chef Izu.

The renowned chef shared a heartwarming caption on Instagram thanking His Highness for his kindness alongside a picture of the pair standing outside Gaia.

“To be humble is to show respect to everyone and everything around you,” Chef Izu wrote. “When we give people our time, we are investing our most valuable resource in the experience that we share and the memories that we make together.

“Thank you @faz3 for all of the kindness you have shown me and the @gaia__dxb family.”

A known foodie, Sheikh Hamdan is regularly seen supporting all of the culinary offerings around Dubai, with Gaia being one of his most visited hotspots. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is also a regular at the DIFC restaurant.

We know where we’ll be dining this weekend…
