The Met Gala 2019 guest list so far.
The Oscars of fashion returns on the first Monday of May and with it a theatrical display of style and an army of glitzy celebrity guests.
The Met Gala has confirmed some of the names of the host committee, which consists of 183 people this year, and two of them are Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas.
Never failing to make an impression (remember the velvet gown by Ralph Lauren worn with a jewelled hood from last year?) Chopra will surely be pulling out all the stops to make it on the best dressed list.
“From walking the prestigious carpet for the first time, to meeting my husband and many friends for life… Nick and I are honored to be on the Benefit Committee for this year’s Met Gala. Looking forward to the first Monday in May,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
Other confirmed names are Bradley Cooper, Lupita Nyong’o, and Jennifer Lopez with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez, as well as power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Fashion designers include Tom Ford, Donatella Versace, Miuccia Prada, Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli and Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller.

The theme for this year is “Camp: Notes on Fashion” so expect plenty of bold extravagance and unapologetic daring silhouettes parading the red carpet.
Serena Williams will be co-chairing the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art alongside Anna Wintour, Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, and Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele.
