Priyanka Chopra has had a fairytale trajectory. From winning Miss World back in 2000 when she was just 18, to establishing herself in Bollywood and then charging through to Hollywood – she’s done it all.

The LA-based Quantico star is now a regular on the international celebrity circuit and for all of those who wonder just how she did it, she’s just announced an upcoming memoir which will be out next year.

Here’s what Priyanka Chopra’s been getting up to in the UAE

The book titled Unfinished will be published by Penguin Random House India. Announcing the book on her Instagram page, Priyanka Chopra was entirely honest about her apprehensions to getting down to writing the book, “I’ve always wanted to write a book, but the timing never felt right. With each opportunity that presented itself, my first instinct was always to wait…because I wasn’t (and I’m still not) finished..”

“I wanted to do more, live more, and achieve more, before putting pen to paper and exposing things I’ve always kept private to the world.”

Priyanka adds, “I’m super proud of what I’ve done and where my life is right now. I’ve realized you don’t have to be finished to tell your story, and that sometimes life’s greatest lessons are taught along the ride…when you’re still figuring things out…when you’re #unfinished.”

Although the star hasn’t let on much about what’s going to make the final edit of the book, it reminds us of a fascinating insight into her life story that she shared a few years ago which was reported on by the International Business Times.

“My life was an epitome of imperfection. I’m not perfect like Aishwarya Rai, beautiful, stunning. I was a gawky kid, had low self-esteem, came from a modest middle-class background, [and] had white marks on my legs, but the only thing I knew was to work hard and learn.

“I didn’t know how to act or win a beauty pageant. But I was damn hard working. Today, my legs sell 12 brands.”

There are a couple of other details we’d like to know more about — especially that loyal friendship she shares with Meghan Markle — but we also want to know how she managed to break through into Hollywood, when so many incredible Bollywood stars have struggled.

“The feeling of checking something off your ‘bucket list’ gives you an indescribable sense of accomplishment. If I can…anyone can,” she says.

We’re thinking it’ll be an inspiring read.
