When it comes to being a parent in Dubai, we’re spoiled with a wealth of family-friendly activities on our doorstep.

But there’s no denying that one disadvantage to raising a family in the desert can be the cost of schooling if you enroll your child privately.

Fees can reach into the hundreds of thousands of dirhams, though they can vary hugely between schools.

According to a new study, there’s a whopping Dhs105,000 difference between the cheapest and the most expensive private school in Dubai (based on Year 13 fees).

The report by online education guide Edarabia looked at just school fees alone, rather than adding the cost of uniforms, textbooks, transport and admission into the mix.

The study discovered that Dubai fees ranged from Dhs2,479 to Dhs107,928 per year, depending what grade the student was in, according to Gulf Business.

So if you add those additional costs onto the priciest schools, you’re looking at one incredibly hefty bill.

Location, curriculum, previous results and the on-site facilities can all play a part in what a private school – of which there are 173 in Dubai – charges.

So with no further ado, here are the cheapest and most expensive schools in Dubai, based on the fees for a Year 13 student…
