Five star dining in an elevator

Not for the faint-hearted, this five-course luxury dinner takes place in an  elevator. Start on the ground floor and work your way up eight floors for each course, ending on the 40th  with panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. Fancy going that extra mile? The ultimate poolside brunch

What better way to see in temperatures (slightly) cooling down than one of Dubai’s best beach clubs? Back for business after a two-month hiatus (we’re looking straight at you, sandstorms), celebrate the return of the post-summer season with Nikki Beach’s brand pink-themed brunch, Rose Saturdays. Beach floats, fresh Mediterranean dishes and even better beats? We’re in. Just don’t forget the sunscreen.

Saturday September 1

A comedy to remember

Award-winning play Carnage heads to our fave hipster hang-out Alserkal Aveue this weekend. The play follows two warring middle-class parents whose inability to resolve their differences leads to awkward and comical consequences. This dark comedy definitely deserves a space on your cultural calendar this weekend. It’s not hard to see how it was awarded several accolades including an Olivier and several Tony Awards for best play and best director.

Alserkal Avenue, Friday 31 August to Saturday 1 September, 8pm to 10pm. Until 1 September. alserkalavenue.ae
