The new North Face X Gucci collection was one of the most anticipated fashion collaborations of 2020.

Having been released in December, a documentary to accompany the collection has been unveiled.

Created by artist Sean Vegezzi,  the documentary showcases how the collection speaks eloquently about nature.

From the wilderness of the Alps to the tactile colours in the collection, the partnership celebrates the spirit of exploration and liberty through skilled craftsmanship while discussing the cultural figures who contributed to The North Face’s popularity.

As expressed in Alessandro Michele’s words, hiking and mountaineering have “the shamanic power to push you into different territories”

Interspersed with images from the Dolomites to the Sierra Nevada in California, the outdoor brand is portrayed through popular cultural figures such as the rock climber Nina Williams and influential artist Post AOW, creating a world of beauty and function through this latest collaboration with a team od skilled craftsman, product developers and the backbone behind it all, David Whetstone, the North Face Design Manager of Global Collaborations along with Gucci’s creative director.

Having launched in a series of pin locations on January 6, the collection will later be available online in select Gucci locations beginning in mid-January 2021.
