This December 2 marks the UAE’s 45th National Day, remembering the unification of the seven emirates in 1971.
And with it comes plenty of celebration, involving sales galore, smashing deals and, of course, the National Day parade.
If you were wondering which deals you could take advantage of this coming weekend, we’ve gone and thrown together a list.

Take to the skies with Uber
The car-booking service has teamed up with Dubai Seawings, the UAE’s only seaplane tour operator, to offer residents a 40-minute trip around the city on December 3 for just Dhs500 (it usually costs Dhs1,695 so that’s quite the saving).
However if you’re looking to book a trip, it needs to be done on November 29 between 12pm and 4pm. Spots are limited, so act fast! Just open the app, request the Seawings flight, and Uber will contact you to schedule the trip if you get a spot.
Grab a cheap holiday
For National Day, Emirates are offering discounts for flights taken December 1 and June 15, 2017. You better book them fast though – the offer expires on December 8.
For economy class, fares are dropping as low as Dhs680 for return trips to Kuwait, Dhs850 to Mumbai, Dhs2,150 for London, and Dhs1,620 to Singapore (as well as plenty of other routes – and there’s discounts on business class seats too).
Have a pizza party
If you’re fancying a night in, zpizza are offering customers a medium pizza, a shareable dish (think garlic bread, cheesy breadsticks) and a large bottle of soft drink for just Dhs45 between November 30 and December 3.
Think Dhs45 is a little much? Pizza Express will be serving 45 free pizzas in each of their UAE outlets on November 30 on a first-come first-served basis.
Treat yourself to a fancy hotel
Think you’re due for a staycation treat? The Ritz Carlton at the Abu Dhabi Grand Canal are offering up a National Day Royal Package from December 1 to 3.
For two people at Dhs45,000 a night, you can rent the 250-metre-squared Royal Suite, which includes pick-up and drop-off at the hotel in a luxury limousine, afternoon tea in the Alba coffee lounge, a 45-minute head-to-toe massage, personal butler services and Club Lounge access. It’s pricey, yes, but definitely a once-in-a-lifetime stay.

Grab a meal at Yas Mall
The restaurants at the Cascade Dining food court in the capital’s Yas Mall have created a limited-edition menu of 45 dishes for Dhs45, available for 45 hours (that’s 9am to 12am on December 1 to Saturday 3).
What’s on offer? We’re talking wagyu beef burgers from Galitos, spinach salmon salad from Mr Greek, pizza con formaggio from Buca di Beppo, lamb or chicken biryani and much more.
Oh, and on top of that, there will also be face painting, flag giveaways and many prizes to be won.
Hit the beach
On Wednesday November 30, Zero Gravity will have free beach and pool access for the first 300 people who secure their place on Zero Gravity’s guest list (just email firstname.lastname@example.org), as well as brunch and menu promotions – with their National Day celebrations coming to an end with a party on December 2.
