Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Morocco late last night on their first official visit to the region.

Meghan chose a red caped Valentino dress that she accessorized with a pink bag from the Italian brand and shoes from Dior. Reports suggest that she chose this vibrant colour as a tribute to the country.

On arrival at Casablanca Airport, the couple were greeted by the British Ambassador to Morocco, Thomas Reilly, and his wife Leah. The Duke of Sussex inspected a Guard of Honour and they were introduced to The Crown Prince of Morocco, Prince Moulay Hassan.

“During their time here, Their Royal Highnesses will see work being done to promote girl’s education, empower young people and support children from disadvantaged backgrounds,” reads the statement from Kensington Palace. “They will also meet some of the country’s young entrepreneurs who are shaping modern Morocco.”

For their three-day trip, the royals travelled with a team of nine people including two private secretaries, three communications staffers, a digital officer, a Kensington Palace assistant, a hairdresser and a programme coordinator.

According to reports, special medical arrangement have been made for Meghan as she is around eight months pregnant, and this will be the last trip the soon-to-be parents will make before the baby arrives.

Today, the Sussexes will visit a boarding house in the town of Ansi built by the Moroccan NGO “Education For All” to help girls aged 12 to 18 access secondary education, followed by an evening reception hosted by Mr Reilly.

On the last day they will have a busy itinerary that includes the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports to see how equine therapy supports children with special needs. After that, they are scheduled to take part in a traditional Moroccan cooking demonstration before stopping by at the Andalusian Gardens to hear about youth empowerment.
