Stop the press, we have breaking news! While there has been rumours circulating that Kanye West’s beau Kim Kardashian will appear on the cover of Vogue, recent praise from the editor-at-large, André Leon Talley, suggests the gossip maybe be true.

While many critics have suggested that Kim maybe too ‘tabloid’ to appear on the cover of the glossy mag, fashion heavyweight André has suggested otherwise, insisting he is a big fan of the reality TV star.

Anna Wintour’s right-hand man made his feelings known on Zappos Couture’s blog, saying Kim is one of his “favourite muses.” He also said: “She is down to earth, graceful, and totally cool… [and an] enchanting angel.”

André’s praise has helped further fuel reports about Kim’s alleged cover for the fashion magazine. When pushed for a confirmation on the rumours creative director Grace Coddington was coy, simply stating: “Gosh, I don’t know. What can I say? I don’t do covers anyway, so I wouldn’t know what they have picked out.”

Talk of the mum-of-one appearing on the iconic title has circulated ever since rapper Kanye confronted Anna Wintour on her decision to put Girls writer, director and star Lena Dunham on the February cover, but not his girlfriend.

Allegedly confronting Anna at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge, it’s believed that Kanye argued Kim is “just as talented as Lena, if not more so.” A source told a popular UK tabloid: “Kanye knows that it’s always been a huge dream of Kim’s to be on the Vogue cover and Kanye wants to make it comes true. If nothing else, Kanye is persistent.”

Another source, spilled: “To Kanye, it’s insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue. He thinks Anna is listening to a bunch of ‘know-nothing’ corporate haters, as he put it.”

One person who appears to be on Kanye’s side is Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci, who believes Kim is the modern-day Marilyn Monroe. He said:  “I met her as the girlfriend of a good friend. I just wanted a moment with her to understand, and I fell in love. She’s the Monroe of our age. People think she’s like a doll, but actually she’s tough and clever.”

Judging by the recent praise it seems a spot on the illustrious cover is no longer a pipe dream for Kim.
