Kim Kardashian is firmly on the path to divorce after seven years of marriage to rapper Kanye West.
After filing papers to become “legally single” last week, new reports have emerged that the reality star there is no going back on her decision.
According to new legal papers obtained by BuzzFeed News, the beauty mogul has declared there is “no counselling or reconciliation effort” that can save her marriage to Kanye, now known as ‘Ye’.
The papers also reportedly state Kim has cited “irreconcilable differences” between her and her estranged husband.
“Irreconcilable differences have existed and continue to exist between [Kanye] and me, which have caused our marriage to irretrievably break down,” Kim stated, according to BuzzFeed News. “No counselling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time.”
According to the outlet, the papers also state that since Kim, 40, filed for divorce earlier this year in February, she has attempted to legally end her marriage to Kanye, but he has been unresponsive to “multiple requests” to legally end their relationship.
She also adds that she wants both her and her ex to have the “opportunity to build new lives” which, she states, they both “deserve”.
The reports surrounding Kim’s legal filings comes after Kanye made a public declaration of his desire to reconcile with his estranged wife.
While performing at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, where Kim was in attendance with two of their children North and Saint, Kanye sang one song entitled ‘Runaway’ of his recent album.
Opting to adlib some of the lyrics, Kanye sang, “Run back to me… more specifically, Kimberly.”
Kim filed for divorce back in February after the couple wed in February 2014. The pair have four children together – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
