To celebrate the release of her new song, The Game, singer Kelly Rowland is offering fans across the globe the chance to star alongside her in the official video for the single.
The Game, directed by Spike Lee, is an exclusive track, sung by Kelly Rowland, on the Pepsi Beats Off The Beautiful Game album – a compilation album starring various artists including Rita Ora, Sanitgold and Timbaland. The album is part of Pepsi’s campaign to celebrate the sights and sounds of football.
To promote the campaign Kelly and Pepsi Max decided to offer the once in a lifetime opportunity for fans to star in the music video, allowing them star alongside the former Destiny’s Child singer.
Kelly teamed with producer Jake Troth for The Game, a mid-tempo stomper with lyrics penned by Sia. Kelly loved making the track so much she has already tapped Troth to work with her on her upcoming fifth album. “He’s so innovative and fresh and pushes me as an artist to stretch my creative self,” said Kelly.
So whether you fancy yourself as a music star or just want to work with Kelly Rowland, you can enter the competition by submitting videos or images showcasing your most creative and passionate take on the song. This could be anything from singing your favourite lyrics of the track, dancing to the beat or showing off your sporting skills. The competition is open for people from all around the world and shortlisted entries will be displayed in the gallery, while winners will be featured in the final fan video.
Pepsi will promote the album throughout the summer, debuting a new song on iTunes each week leading up to the album’s release as well as a new ‘filmtrack’ on Pepsi.com/TheGame and on YouTube.
