It’s Her Party!
Jennifer Lopez is 50 and to celebrate her milestone birthday, the performer went all out with an epic bash. The award winning singer has been in a birthday mood for a month now, as she set out on her It’s My Party world tour, celebrating all around the world.
There is no party like a Miami party, which is why J-Lo treated her friends and family to an incredible bash at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s sprawling estate on Star Island in Miami. The Jenny From the Block singer arrived in a gold-metallic cut-out Versace dress, which featured thigh-high slit. She completed the look with Jimmy Choo pumps, a high ponytail and large hoop earrings. By her side all night was her fiancé Alex Rodriguez, who earlier on gifted her a red Porsche for her milestone celebration.

At the star-studded event, DJ Cassidy — who previously deejayed at Lopez’s 40th birthday party — and DJ Don Hot played the hottest tracks until the early hours of the morning, ensuring that all guests were on their feet, dancing the night away. Fellow musicians and friends of J-Lo’s DJ Khaled and Ashanti also made an appearance and managed to steal the mic at the lavish bash. Several videos from the event were posted on Instagram, showing Jennifer and A-rod tearing up the dance floor.

The best part of the night probably had to be when the singer’s twins went up to perform. 11-year-old’s Maximillian and Emme, her kids from her marriage to Marc Anthony, serenaded their mom with a birthday rap and a song. Both kids, as well as Rodriguez’s daughters Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11 (whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez) — have frequently made appearances both on stage and in the audience of Lopez’s “It’s My Party” tour performances.

Earlier on Wednesday, ahead of the party, A-rod posted a heartwarming montage on Instagram in honour of Jeniffer’s birthday. “Hi baby girl, just want to wish you a happy birthday,” the former Yankees star, 43, said in the video. “I cannot believe this, baby girl. Since we’ve been together you have made me feel like every day is my birthday.”

“Thank you for your passion, and your energy, and your inspiration, and your endless pursuit to be the best at everything that you do,” he added. “You are simply the best partner in life, the best daughter, the best mother, the best performer. We love you, your fans love you, your children love you and I love you. Let’s make this birthday a very special one.” The couple have been dating since February of 2017 and got engaged in March.
The Medicine singer will continue to celebrate her birthday well into August, as she is set to take her tour around the world and one of the stops is in our region. On August 9, she will treat Egyptians at the North Coast to the show of a life-time.
Just because Lopez has turned 50, doesn’t mean that she will be slowing down anytime soon. Other than her tour, she is starring in the upcoming movie Hustlers alongside Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer and Julia Stiles.
