As much as we love our favourite beauty influencers (and we really do) it’s always interesting to see what the rest of the population rates.
With that in mind, we asked Sephora for their top-rated products in the Middle East. Voted by customers, these are the items that performed best.

There are a couple of surprises in here, but that’s just given us another reason to do a bit of shopping.
One thing is clear: Middle East shoppers love a liquid lipstick.
Foundation
In a region as diverse as ours, it’s no surprise that Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (Dhs170) rated well – it comes in 40 shades. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation (Dhs215), Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation (Dhs195), NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (Dhs235) and Sephora Collection Glow Perfection Foundation (Dhs100) round out the top five.
Concealer
Sticking with base products for a moment, let’s talk concealers. Everyone’s favourite NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (Dhs165) made the grade, according to Sephora shoppers, as did Urban Decay Naked Skin Complete Coverage Concealer (Dhs146) and Sephora Collection High Coverage Concealer (Dhs83).
Powder
Because in a climate this humid, good setting powders are gold dust. Sephora shoppers are fans of Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder (Dhs150), Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Powder (Dhs158) and Sephora Collection Smoothing Translucent Setting Powder (Dhs94).
Lip products
What’s striking here isn’t the brands represented but that they’re all the same kind of product. Lipsticks, glosses and balms don’t stand a chance against a liquid lipstick, it seems. Sephora shoppers loved the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint (Dhs126), Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick (Dhs105), Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (Dhs95) and Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain (Dhs80).
Mascara
If there’s one product people tend to be passionately loyal to, it’s mascara. Topping the rankings in this category are Benefit They’re Real! (Dhs125), Sephora Collection Outrageous Extension Volume & Length Mascara (Dhs95) and Too Faced Better Than Love Mascara (Dhs126).
Bronzer
When you’re stuck inside for half the year, a good bronzer is essential. Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer (Dhs149) and Sephora Collection Sun Disk Bronzer (Dhs98) were Sephora shoppers’ favourites.
