We don’t often see the Jordanian royal dressed down, but she does it so well.

Regular readers of Emirates Woman will be familiar with our fondness for HM Queen Rania al Abdullah of Jordan.

Whether she’s wearing local labels or inspiring us with ways to style white shirts, we tend to pay close attention.

And it’s rewarding, too. Queen Rania always looks incredible.

Can we talk about Crown Prince Hussein’s wardrobe for a minute?

So we were thrilled to see these latest photos, which show the royal in a decidedly more causal mode. Her off-duty style is every bit as enviable as her more dressed-up looks.

For a meeting with leaders from education non-profit I Learn JO: Space for Knowledge on Tuesday, Queen Rania wore a belted khaki jacket paired with navy blue trousers and taupe ankle boots.

Her wire-rimmed round sunglasses were a highlight, too.

You can see her fit in motion, as well as the meeting’s spectacular setting, in this video posted to Instagram:

So now we’re planning a trip to the ruins of Jerash, as well as to the mall to cop some HM-inspired outerwear.

While we haven’t been able to establish the exact provenance of Queen Rania’s jacket, there are more than a few similar options around.

Here are our favourites.

So classic. You’ll keep this for years. Dhs6,270 on Net-A-Porter.

For a long-line option, this is a winner. We love the flat collar. Dhs2,300.

Marques’ Almeida paneled shell and drill jacket

Contrasting greens add interest here, and it has Queen Rania’s same belted silhouette. Dhs3,182.

As for the sunglasses, you can’t go past the classics. These Ray Ban round metal numbers are our pick.

They’re on the Ray Ban website for Dhs617, but you can find similar styles at Sunglass Hut here.
