Ellen DeGeneres has well and truly cemented her title as the new Oprah of American TV after treating guests in her audience to a luxurious trip to Dubai.

During her eponymous show, Oprah Winfrey was famous for asking her audience members to look underneath their seats only for them to discover that they’d won a car, an all-expenses paid holiday, cash money… She was the queen of the giveaways.

With the TV host-cum-agony aunt retired from her talk show, the reins were passed to Ellen DeGeneres to be the new queen of talk show TV, and it seems her latest stint has seen her rival even Oprah’s most extravagant offerings.
