The rock legends will close out the show on the Sunday night.

While November’s still a fair way off, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix artist announcements mean we already know what we’ll be up to for at least a few days that month.

US act Guns N Roses have been announced as the second F1 headliners, following news that Canadian hitmaker The Weeknd would play the Friday night after-race concert. Guns N Roses will close the event, performing on Sunday November 25 at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena.

Guns N Roses have sold over 100 million records since forming in 1985. Best known for songs like Welcome to the JungleSweet Child o’ Mine and Paradise City, they’ve got an extensive back catalogue to draw from for their F1 appearance.

Plus, who could forget the epic video for November Rain? Starring supermodel Stephanie Seymour, it’s a classic.

In the sunny UAE, though, we can assume that’s the only November rain GNR fans will have to contend with.

Guns N Roses last played in the emirates at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena in March last year.

“Guns N Roses are one of the all-time rock greats, and welcoming the founding members to the du Arena to celebrate this milestone event makes it even more special”, said John Lickrish, CEO of event organiser, Flash Entertainment.

This year’s F1, Abu Dhabi’s tenth, will run from Thursday November 22 to Sunday November 25 at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.

Tickets are available now, and will run at a 30 per cent discount until the end of May.

You’ll need an F1 ticket to see either the concerts, so if you’re a GNR fan, you know what to do.
