An nod to the iconic show

We are days away from the premiere of the final season of HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones. As any die-hard fan may knows, winter is coming, but so is Urban Decay’s makeup collection inspired by the series.

The American cosmetics brand teamed up with the show based on George R. R. Martin’s bestseller books, to give fans a parting gift. The make up line is inspired by the elements of the story, including The Seven Kingdoms and the strong women of Westeros. Fans can also expect to find beauty products representing The Mother of Dragon’s, Daenerys Targaryen and the houses of Lannister and Stark.

The brand first teased the release on their Instagram back in February when they posted a short clip which included the show’s running theme of fire and ice. On Saturday, Urban Decay posted another dramatic video featuring the shows iconic intro music. The clip introduced fans to the 13-piece collection, which will be released on April 14, the same day the show returns to HBO for its eighth and final season.

Makeup lovers will find all the products needed in the collection, including: a 20-pan eye shadow palette, which includes a three-dimensional pop-up of the show’s famous Iron Throne. The palette includes colours named after the show, including “White Walker,” a powdery blue, “Lannister Red,” a dark burgundy, and “Bend the Knee,” a shimmery purple.

The highlighter palette, named The Mother of Dragons, is a direct tribute to the shows three dragons, with dragon eggs embossed in each shade. Another fun easter egg in the collection are the two eyeshadow brushes, designed and named after Arya Stark and Jon Snow’s swords. Also included in the line is a lip and cheek stain, four shades of the brand’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and four shades of its Vice Lipsticks.
