Khulood Al Nakhi, Founder of BEYOND shares her day to night makeup and skincare routine.
Talk us through your morning routine.
I always start my day with water and fresh lemon juice which benefits my skin from the inside. I like to use toner and moisturizer cream with SPF from Dr. Barbara Sturm, which is a perfect base for my everyday makeup. How does your evening routine differ? I always start with deep cleaning my skin, the gentle cleaning gel by Sisley is one of my favourites. Depending on the day I like to use face masks which are like a booster for the skin. Depending on my skin needs I decide between night oil or cream altogether with eye cream.
What are your go-to skincare products?
I truly adore Sisley and Dr. Barbara Sturm’s beauty products. In addition, a few months ago, I visited and became a client of the Chanel beauty salon and I was truly im- pressed by the selection of facials and the new line of beauty products, Chanel No 5. Are you a fan of masks? Yes, I am a big fan, it’s the best way to quickly glow and moisturise your skin.
How do you approach makeup?
I prefer a natural look – a “no makeup, makeup” look for every day. For special occasions, I like to experiment and sometimes I decide to book a makeup artist but still, it’s a classy and elegant look.
What can always be found in your make-up bag?
Lipstick, powder and mascara, that’s my must-have.
Which fragrance do you currently love?
I am classic when it comes to fragrances, and I always have a few around me like Chanel No 5, Estee Lauder or Dior. During the wintertime, I like to use an intense version of my favourite fragrances or I add an oud oil on my skin before I use perfumes.
How do you choose your evening fragrance?
I have my routine with bakhoor and intense candles as the fragrance around my house; it’s a part of a relaxing evening ritual. For special occasions, I appreciate my husband’s suggestions as he is a fragrance collector and I can always get something very unique from his collection.
