Forever pieces

When it comes to fashion, our feet draw the short straw. We put them through experimental trends, unwalkable platforms, sky-high heels and blister-causing sandals, yet our desire for a new pair of shoes never ceases.

We’re talking timeless pumps that instantly elevate a laid back look and make you feel like a boss b*tch when you step into the office. Stick to solid colours and be amazed at how versatile this silhouette is.

A good pair of flat sandals are notoriously hard to find, but once you do we suggest buying two pairs – especially if you live in a warm climate like Dubai.

Now let’s talk sneakers. Yes, everyone is falling head over chunky soles for Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton, but bad news guys, not everyone can pull them off. Yes they look amazing, but for every day you can’t beat a classic sports shoe like Veja, Converse and adidas Originals Superstars.

Okay, now this is a trend we can fully get on board with this season. Stomping combat boots have become mainstream once more thanks to Prada and Bottega Veneta, but Doc Martens kicked it all off. You’d be surprised at how many pairs we have spotted around Dubai, worn with everything from elongated blazers to flowing Zimmermann dresses.
