British royal fans can finally expand their collection of decorative plates, calendars and greeting cards as it’s been revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have filed trademark for”Sussex Royal”.

Part of the Sussex Royal The Foundation, the couple will use the name across various merchandise such as stationary like newspapers and magazines as well as footwear; headgear; t-shirts; coats; jackets; anoraks; trousers; sweaters; jerseys; dresses; pyjamas; suits; sweat shirts; hooded tops; caps; and hats.
This move prevents anyone else selling product using “Sussex Royal”, if they do then the royal couple can take legal action. The trademark also covers services including charitable fundraising, education and social care initiatives.

They’re not the only members of the royal family who have applied. According to Intellectual Property Office website, Kate Middleton and Prince William are also awaiting approval on a trademark for their royal foundation. The status of their application is “registered” while for Meghan and Harry’s is “application published”.
