Mabrook to the Al Maktoum family!
He just celebrated his 69th birthday, and now HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received the best possible gift – a new granddaughter.
HH Sheikha Hassa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, daughter of the vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, gave birth to baby girl on July 17.
The happy news was shared to social media by several members of Dubai’s royal family, including HH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who revealed her newest niece’s name – Salama bint Saeed.

In March 2017, Sheikha Manal welcomed her own bundle of joy – a baby boy, named Rashid bin Mansoor. Sheikh Mohammed was photographed holding his new grandson shortly after he was born.
Sheikha Manal’s sister, Sheikha Hassa, is one of the more private members of Dubai’s royal family, with no social media presence. She is married to Sheikh Saeed bin Dalmook bin Juma Al Maktoum, and it is thought the couple already have two children.
