Your ultimate guide of things to do in Dubai this weekend – January 14 to January 16, 2022.

A newly revamped jewellery space

Bloomingdales

Bloomingdale’s has launched their newly remodelled shop-in-shop jewellery section in their store in The Dubai Mall. The exquisite space whisks you into the heart of Bloomingdale’s where you are invited to discover some of the world’s most lustrous fine jewellery from Boucheron, David Yurman and Marli. The design teams of each of the brands worked closely with Bloomingdale’s to select materials and design concepts to offer a carefully curated, unparalleled and unique experience for the client. Custom countertops and showcases were locally sourced, thereby creating an open and inviting space for jewellery enthusiasts, as well as for those looking to select the perfect gift in time for the festive season.

But first, coffee

Downtown’s newest hotspot Urla has added an impressive art installation, set to take centre stage at the venue. The Tree of Lights is an overgrown juniper bonsai tree that has been reimagined and imbued with light. Created by the expert team of artists and engineers at San Francisco based Color+Light, the incredible tree stands an impressive 18 foot tall and 20 feet wide, with a base measuring 6-foot. One of only a handful of similar creations in the world, from the Burning Man to Urla, the Tree of Lights is the first of its kind in Dubai. As well as this, enjoy some of the most spectacular views of Downtown Dubai whilst dining alfresco on signature dishes from Urla’s menu including an exquisite platter of fresh Oysters, Seabass Ceviche, served with crispy sweet potato, cancha corns and tiger’s milk or indulge in one of the restaurant’s delectable mezze platters.

Enjoy some jazz
